RECORD OF BOWLS SCORES – PAGE ONE – AN EXPLANATION.

One approach to evaluating the performance of Players involves the scoring of each bowl played. I record this information during a game and then place the material on to an Excel file that I have designed to record various aspects of the game. A significant amount of the data fits on to two pages. These notes explain what a Reader will see on the firat page. The next file explains page two of the record of bowls scores (17/2/08).

RECORD OF BOWLS SCORES – PAGE TWO – AN EXPLANATION.

These notes follow on from the previous notes . They explain page two of the recording of individual bowl scores. (17/2/08)

AN EXPLANATION OF THE CONVERSION TABLE.

With any one bowl, Players can change the current score during an end. They can (a) add to, or reduce, their exisitng score , (b) reduce, or add to the score of the Opposition, (c) change the score from down to up, or (d) change the score from up to down. These notes call any of these changes a "conversion"'. Some Players prefer to restrict the meaning of this term to classes (c) and (d).

In recent years, I have started to collect information on the conversions (using the "larger" meaning) of both Skippers. A table records the data collected. These notes explain all aspects of the table. (17/2/08)

FORM – RECORDING OF CONVERSIONS

This page shows how to complete the form that records conversions by Skippers. (3/5/08)
